Requests for Funding

The Icicle Fund provides support to nonprofit, 501(c)3 organizations, whose work advances the Icicle Fund mission, that operate in and/or provide services to North Central Washington. Four different types of grants are awarded:  operating, program, capacity building, and capital (see the Grant Types / Definitions document below).  The Icicle Fund does not provide support to individuals or other types of organizations.

Funding requests are acted upon at the June and December meetings of the Icicle Fund board of directors.  Proposals are submitted approximately seven weeks prior to the Board meetings and applicants are notified within three weeks following the meeting.

2010-2011 due dates for grant proposals are:

  • October 18,2010.  Letters of Inquiry, which initiate the proposal process, must be received and approved no later than October 4,2010 for this funding cycle.
  • April 18, 2011.  Letters of Inquiry are due no later than April 4, 2011 for this funding cycle.

The Icicle Fund does not accept late or incomplete proposals.
